The Governor received a call from Mr Tony Ellwood, Director of National Gallery of Victoria; and welcomed to Government House HE Mr John Berry, United States Ambassador to Australia.
The Governor hosted a Welcome Reception for teachers and students from 15 of Victoria's sister schools in Jiangsu Province, China. Also, the Governor received calls from Dr Tim Soutphommasane, Race Discrimination Commissioner, and Mr Louis LeVaillant, Director of the Johnston Collection.
The Governor hosted a recital series concert for the winner of the 7th Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition; and later received a call from Lady Southey AC.
The Governor, The Honourable Linda Dessau AM presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.
The Governor received a call from Mr Richard Bolt, Secretary, Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources.
The Governor laid the foundation stone for the Australian Ballet School's Student Residence, Marilyn Rowe House. The Governor and Judge Howard attended the International Champions Cup.
The Governor received a call from Ms Rosie Batty, Australian of the Year; and later attended a Memorial service for Neilma Gantner at Hamer Hall.

The Governor received a call from Mr Brendan Watson OAM, Chief Commissioner and Mr Neil Comrie AO APM, President of Scouts Victoria; and later, received a call from The Hon Matthew Guy, Leader of the Opposition.
