While on an official visit to Türkiye, the Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC CVO, toured the Sacred Blue Mosque, Istanbul, with Australia’s Ambassador to Türkiye His Excellency Mr Miles Armitage and Consul-General Tony Huber. The Governor was honoured to learn about this sacred site from the Chief Muezzin.

Later, the Governor hosted a reception for Turkish business women, leaders in a diverse range of sectors to advance opportunities between Victorian and Türkiye.

In the afternoon, the Governor met with Australia’s Ambassador to Türkiye, His Excellency Miles Armitage to discuss the outcomes and opportunities for Victoria and Türkiye at the conclusion of the visit.

Later, the Governor departed Türkiye for Israel.

That evening, beginning her official visit to Israel, the Governor received a briefing from Tim Dillion, Victoria’s Agent-General to the United Kingdom and Commissioner to Europe and Israel.

While on an official visit to Türkiye, the Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC CVO, met with alumni of Victorian universities.

Later, the Governor met with His Excellency Ali Yerlikaya, Governor of Istanbul to discuss the strong relationship between Victoria and Türkiye.

Then, the Governor met with a network of Turkish business leaders to discuss areas of mutual interest. 

In the afternoon, the Governor met with Professor Dr Ahmet Bolat, Chairman of Turkish Airlines.

While on an official visit to Türkiye, the Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC CVO, attended the ANZAC Day Gallipoli Dawn Service.

The Governor then attended the annual Gallipoli ANZAC Day Breakfast.

Later, the Governor attended the Australian Service at the Lone Pine Memorial.

Following this, the Governor attended the Turkish Ceremony at the 57th Regiment Memorial Site.

Finally, the Governor attended the New Zealand Service at Chunuk Bair.

In Victoria, the Lieutenant-Governor, Professor James Angus AO, represented the Governor at the ANZAC Day Dawn Service at the Shrine of Remembrance.

Mr Anthony Howard AM KC then hosted the annual ANZAC Day Breakfast.

Later, the Lieutenant-Governor represented the Governor at the annual ANZAC Day March.

While on an official visit to Türkiye, the Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC CVO, attended a commemoration ceremony at Çanakkale Martyrs’ Memorial for the Turkish soldiers who served in the Gallipoli campaign.

Later, the Governor attended a commemoration ceremony at the French National Cemetery and Memorial for the French soldiers who fought in the Gallipoli campaign. 

Then, the Governor attended a Commonwealth commemoration ceremony at Helles Memorial for Commonwealth soldiers who participated in the Gallipoli campaign and have no known grave. 

In the afternoon, the Governor was hosted by Mr İsmail Kaşdemir, President of the Gallipoli Historical Sites Directorate.

While on an official visit to Türkiye, the Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC CVO, received a briefing from Mr Tony Huber, Australia's Consul-General in Istanbul.

Later, the Governor received a briefing from Ms Gönül Serbest, Victoria's Commissioner to Europe, and Mr Kassem Younes, Victoria’s General Manager for Middle East, Turkey and Africa, on Victoria's global economic priorities.

In the evening, the Governor attended a Commanders Dinner accompanied by Mr Matt Keogh, Federal Minister for Veterans' Affairs and Mr Miles Armitage, Ambassador to Türkiye.

The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC CVO, hosted a special meeting of the Executive Council.

The Governor later departed Victoria for Official Travel.

The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC CVO, accompanied by Mr Anthony Howard AM KC, attended the Premier's Anniversary of ANZAC Day State Luncheon.

The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC CVO, met with Dame Louise Martin DBE, President of the Commonwealth Games Federation.

The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC CVO, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.

Later, the Governor received the call of Rob Holland, Executive Director of the Economic Development and International Branch of the Department of Premier and Cabinet.

The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC CVO, received the virtual call of Professor Adam Fennessy PSM, CEO and Dean of the Australia and New Zealand School of Government.

Later, the Governor hosted a lunch to mark the 150th Anniversary of Rio Tinto.

In the afternoon, the Governor received the call of John Pesutto MP, Leader of the Opposition and Shadow Minister for Multicultural Affairs.

Following this, the Governor received the farewell call of His Excellency Ambassador Yamagami Shingo and Madame Yamagami Kaora.

Finally, the Governor welcomed the Victorian Bar Rainbow Tour Group to Government House.
