Read about the Governor’s Official Travel in June 2024
On 1 June 2024, the Governor departed on an official visit to the United States of America at the request of the Victorian Government.
The visit will see the Governor travel to San Diego, Minneapolis, New York and Washington D.C with a busy program of engagements across two weeks.
Travel to the United States offers the chance to strengthen cooperation in key sectors including BioTech, as well as the opportunity to explore closer strategic and economic ties.
International engagement has been a successive key responsibility of Governors of Victoria, and one that requires overseas travel with the support of the Government.
The purpose of these official visits complements international engagement at home by strengthening relationships, opening doors for Victorian businesses, and promoting the State’s economic, social and cultural interests.
